Message from President of Confucian Academy
Since childhood, I have revered Confucius and for over 50 years, I have dedicated myself to promoting Confucianism and the teachings of Confucius. In 1992, I was elected as the President of the Hong Kong Confucian Academy and have since devoted most of my energy and resources to promoting Confucianism worldwide. My efforts have taken me to many countries, where I have delivered over 1,400 speeches and published articles on the subject. These have been compiled into a 30-volume series entitled "Tang Enjia's Global Lectures on Promoting Confucianism." I have also written books such as "The Analects of Confucius," "Essays on Confucianism," and "The Confucian Reader."
The Hong Kong Confucian Academy has established several schools, including the Confucian Tai Shing Ho Kwok Pui Chun College and the Confucian Tai Shing Primary School, which have "Respect for Learning, Encouragement for Study" as their motto. The curriculum emphasizes the development of character through the Five Virtues of "morality, intelligence, physical fitness, group harmony, and aesthetics," and includes a special course on Confucian classics to instill the values of Confucianism in students.
I have devoted myself to promoting Confucianism throughout the world, spreading Confucian values of "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faithfulness," and cultivating talents in Confucianism.
I hope that Confucianism will continue to thrive and prosper.
Dr. TANG En-Jia, SBS, DBA, MBE
