Title: The Monkey and the Rabbit

Once upon a time, a monkey and a rabbit lived in a small village. The monkey lived in a beautiful big house but the rabbit lived in an ugly small house. The monkey thought the rabbit was poor, therefore, he did not want to play with the rabbit. Although the monkey did not like the rabbit, the rabbit did not mind it. It was because she was generous.

One day, the monkey was bored. Therefore, he went out and rode his bicycle. After an hour, he was tired so he stopped riding the bicycle and sat under a tall, tall tree. At that moment, he saw a big banana on the tree. He thought the banana would be yummy so he climbed up the tree to get it. Suddenly, he fell down from the tree. He hurt his legs and could not walk. “Help! Help!” the monkey yelled as loud as he could. The rabbit heard it.

“Where are you?” shouted the rabbit. “I’m sitting under the tall, tall tree!” shouted the monkey. “I’ll help you, don’t be afraid,” said the rabbit. When the rabbit saw the monkey, she helped him to stand up and went home.

The monkey was sad because he knew he was wrong, that he should be friendly to the rabbit. Although the rabbit was poor, she was helpful and generous.

The next day, the monkey went to the rabbit’s house. “Thank you for your help! I know I was wrong in the past. I’m sorry. Can you forgive me?” said the monkey.

“Sure, let’s be friends!” said the rabbit.

In the end, the monkey and the rabbit lived very happily. They always played with each other, helped each other and talked with each other!

If you were the rabbit, would you help the monkey and forgive him?
